Simple Setup

From App Setup to First Stripe Payment

No required reader hardware or custom checkout build. Flow POS is designed so you can connect your Stripe account and start accepting mobile payments once onboarding is complete.

Four Steps to Mobile Stripe Payments

Whether you’re starting a new Stripe account or connecting an existing one, the setup process is identical and takes minutes.

1

Get Flow POS

Download Flow POS from the App Store or Google Play. Apple silicon Mac users can install the iOS app from the App Store for supported workflows.

2

Connect or Create a Stripe Account

Flow POS connects directly to Stripe. You have two options:

Already have Stripe?

Sign in with your existing Flow POS email or Stripe connection. Payments, balances, and account status load from Stripe.

New to Stripe?

Create a free Stripe account during setup. Flow POS guides you through the process step by step.

3

Accept Your First Payment

Choose how you want to charge. Flow POS supports multiple payment methods so you can sell the way that works for your business:

Tap to Pay

Hold your phone near the customer’s card or device. Done.

Manual Entry

Type card details in the native manual entry flow. Great for phone orders.

Card Reader

Connect a Stripe reader via Bluetooth for chip & swipe.

Payment Link

Send a link by text or email. Customer pays on their device.

4

Track and Manage Everything

After your first payment, Flow POS becomes your Stripe management hub on mobile. Check your balance, review payment history, monitor payout schedules, and review recent invoices, payment links, and subscription links. Use Stripe Dashboard for advanced account, customer, product, and billing controls.

Payouts follow your Stripe payout schedule. Flow POS gives you real-time visibility into when your money is arriving.
Common Questions

Questions About Getting Started

Flow POS requires a Stripe account to process payments - but you don’t need one before installing the app. You can create a free Stripe account as part of the in-app setup process. If you already have a Stripe account, just sign in and your data syncs automatically.
Stripe can typically verify accounts quickly, but the exact time depends on Stripe’s review process and the information you provide. Many users can start accepting payments in test mode immediately and switch to live mode once Stripe completes verification. This is a Stripe process, not a Flow POS process.
No. Flow POS supports Tap to Pay on supported iPhone and Android devices, which requires no hardware at all. You can also use manual card entry - no reader needed. If you prefer to use a card reader for chip and swipe, Flow POS supports Stripe-compatible Bluetooth readers, but these are optional, not required.
Yes. Your Stripe account is the same account regardless of how many supported devices you install Flow POS on, including Apple silicon Macs for supported workflows. Payments, balances, payouts, invoices, and hosted links are read from Stripe/Flow POS services so each signed-in device sees the same current activity.
